At Medly, we combine free, same-day prescription delivery with expert, always-on customer care to communities throughout the nation. Our employees work to provide accessible and personalized care, to each of our patients, and to extend that care beyond the doctor’s office.
This week, we’d love to highlight another member of this important team Shannon Fox, whom we’ve spotlighted today. As an Account Management Associate, Shannon helps work with our providers by making sure prescriptions are processed and patients are happy. Read below to find out more about what Shannon does and who she is.
Born in Brooklyn but raised in Long Island NY, I enjoy playing 5 different instruments (music is life!!). I love swimming, road trips and spending time with the people I love. I’ve attended Montgomery College in Maryland for Computer Information System, but life has led me to Logistics then into pharmaceutical and has been in this line of work for 8 years and I enjoy what I do!
My role is Account Management Associate. I work alongside sales reps, providers and our internal Medly team in all locations to ensure that accounts are being taken care of in a timely manner, solve any issues with pending medications , assist and guide our patients on financial support if needed for their medications.
In the beginning of 2019, I saw a great opportunity to join a company that has big goals in changing the game in pharmacy care. It’s great to be a part of something that I knew was going to be HUGE and make an impact in patient care. It’s an amazing feeling to hear a simple thank you and receive feedback from your colleagues , patients and providers….. I can finally say…. Medly is it!
Medly is different from other pharmacies, not only because of our delivery services to our patients but to be able to customize and personalize pharmacy/patient care where we make our patients feel like they are able to put their trust in us to ensure that we provide the service that we promise to them. Medly goes above and beyond any other pharmacy I have worked for and I’m proud to be a part of the Medly family.
My favorite part of my job is when I’m able to help a patient with financial support. I’ve heard stories from patients over the phone expressing how difficult things have become during this pandemic. So, knowing that I’m able to pick up the phone, call these programs and be able to fight for these patients to receive that financial help in order to get their medication they need is all worth it! My favorite animal is a dog, my favorite food is Italian and one of my favorite movies is Inception.
