This week, we’re highlighting another essential member of our team: Alex Tsoy. Alex is our Director of Pharmacy Operations, responsible for managing the day to day logistics of our high-volume pharmacy. I’m a father to a beautiful 6-year-old boy. Originally from Uzbekistan, born and raised in Tashkent and spent most of my childhood traveling between Moscow (Russia) and Tashkent (Uzbekistan). I speak three languages (Russian, English, and Spanish), and graduated from John Jay College of Criminal Justice (NYC).
Pharmacy was my very first job when I arrived in NY. I thought it would be a great part-time gig and would allow me to manage work-school schedules. After graduating with a Criminal Justice degree, opportunities in the pharmacy and healthcare world started to open for me and I decided to stay in healthcare, it was one of the best decisions I’ve made.
I’m a Director of Operations Quality Control, responsible for overall qualitative maintenance of operations across the board. In addition to that, I’m responsible for making sure the teams are following the highest and the most stringent operational and compliance related requirements associated with URAC and ACHC accreditations nationwide.
Medly is a progressive and innovative patient centric company that began to occupy the uncharted territory in the digital world of the pharmaceutical and healthcare space. I always wanted to be a part of progressive and digitally inclined pharmacy company, as the pharma world is moving more towards the digital approach of doing business. Most importantly, going above and beyond for our patients is something Medly always emphasizes.
The innovative spirit, a constant desire for growth and expansion along with the ability to overcome obstacles that sometimes seem immovable is what sets us apart from our competitors or any other pharmacies. We also are a truly patient centric company that goes above and beyond for its employees and its customers.

I love spending time with my son and building a strong bond with him, immersing him and myself in different cultures and activities. Love reading books and exploring new places. Avid recreational and tactical shooter, hunter, and outdoorsman.
I also enjoy martial arts and training my son in martial arts and self-defense (I’m a second-degree black belt in Olympic style Taekwondo). I love traveling and learning different languages, I’m also a huge foodie and a semi-professional beach bum. My favorite food is Korean BBQ.
