At Medly, we believe that the future of medicine is accessible, personalized care, and our mission is to extend that care beyond the doctor’s office. We envision a world in which everyone can get the medication they need at the prices they can afford, regardless of their income, lifestyle or diagnosis.
In order to continue providing this exceptional care to our current and future patients and providers, we’re proud to announce our recent relocation to our new and expanded headquarters on Debevoise Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The Debevoise Brooklyn pharmacy is a three-floor, 30,000 square foot space will support both corporate employees while serving as our local New York City pharmacy outpost.
The expansion of our Brooklyn pharmacy serves to highlight our rapid growth since establishing our first brick-and-mortar pharmacy back in 2017. Three years ago, our founders relied on their deep knowledge of the pharmacy landscape to create a new type of digital pharmacy – one that combined cutting-edge technology with a local pharmacy feel to improve health outcomes.
Since our inception, we’ve expanded beyond New York City – we now provide patients and providers in New Jersey, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Miami with seamless prescription experience. “2020 has been a landmark year for Medly and for the democratization of the pharmacy,” said Marg Patel, CEO and Co-founder of Medly. “With plans to expand to multiple metro areas across the country over the next year, we are thrilled to embark on a new era for the company right here in Brooklyn where we are headquartered.”
Stella Musa, Medly’s Director of Clinical Relations, says that this success is a result of both Medly’s patient-focused care and the fact that we provide so many of the services patients yearn for. “I have the blessing of working for a company that offers deliveries, a variety of medication packaging services, proactive copay assistance, compounding, specialty medications, and so much more!” she says. “Medly is a company that states that there is no problem too small and they truly mean it! If there is a way to help achieve a patient’s optimal health we will find it and pursue it.”
The importance of our mission, to provide an ever increasing number of patients and providers with specialized pharmacy services, has been thrown into sharp relief in light of the coronavirus pandemic. As Prasad Pola, Chief Technology Officer of Medly says, “The COVID-19 pandemic has reshaped the way that Americans access their healthcare and medications.
The pandemic has also exposed the deep fractures and breaks in our current healthcare system, and at Medly, we are working to pave a better path forward. We are thrilled to get to work at our new headquarters where we can expand our work to make that vision a reality.”
